Sales Support Coordinator

Reports to:            VP, Seismology

Based in:               Ottawa, Ontario

Term:                     Full-Time


The Sales Support Coordinator will be responsible for providing direct sales support and leading competitive intelligence gathering in order to facilitate a better understanding of the needs of and challenges faced by existing and new customers in the Seismology market. The incumbent will develop contracts and identify new opportunities for Nanometrics products and services.

  • Assisting the sales team with pricing and producing accurate, timely and complete quotes

  • Maintaining and reporting on the active opportunities within the Salesforce CRM

  • Building relationships with representatives and distributors worldwide

  • Supporting the Nanometrics overseas representatives and distributors with their needs and requests

  • Introducing and implementing competitive intelligence gathering processes and procedures, including gathering information from internal company sources, social media and third-party sources

  • Developing a competitive intelligence database (search and retrieval system) using commercially available products in order to generate actionable reports for the sales team

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an inside sales or (a) sales coordinator role(s) ideally with technical products for a North American or global customer base

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications specifically Excel and significant experience with Salesforce CRM or other similar tools is highly desirable. Experience working with open source competitive intelligence software is also desirable.

  • University or college degree or equivalent in Business Administration, commerce or marketing preferred
