Nanometrics is currently looking for a smart, creative software developer to help build our next generation of data acquisition software that’s used to collect and analyze seismic and state-of-health data from instruments in standalone and networked deployments. Typical challenges involve how to use wireless technologies to harvest instrument data in dense field deployments, or choosing new UI and web application frameworks such as Angular and Play to develop state-of-the art data acquisition analysis capabilities as cloud services or desktop applications.

- 3-5 years of professional software development experience in Java
- A track record of delivering well-designed and tested software
- Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, in a team setting
- Experience in Java, web application frameworks (e.g. Vert.x)
- Ability to work with time-series and relational databases
- Experience working with Angular
- Experience with Android and iOS
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related degree (or Engineering with a strong software background)
