Nanometrics is proud to be a Gold Standard winner in 2022, and has been a Canada’s Best Managed Companies winner since 2019

Nanometrics was recognized for overall business performance and sustained growth with the prestigious Canada’s Best Managed Companies Gold designation. The 2022 Best Managed program award winners are amongst the best-in-class of Canadian owned and managed companies with revenues over $50 million demonstrating leadership in the areas of strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, and financials to achieve sustainable growth.

In the 29th year of the program, Canada's Best Managed Companies combine strategic expertise and a culture of innovation with a steadfast commitment to their communities. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the calibre of their management abilities and practices.

Nanometrics has received the Best Managed Companies designation for a fourth consecutive year. With a long-term strategic vision, Nanometrics continues to leverage innovative new technologies such as artificial intelligence and cloud-based automation to develop and deploy next generation seismic detection and monitoring solutions. With continued investments in research and development, talent and dedication, the company has been successful on its path of continued growth.

“The 2022 Best Managed winners have demonstrated an exceptional ability to identify lucrative opportunities and successfully adapt to new situations, leveraging industry-leading competencies to maximize their investments and drive sustainable growth,” said Lorrie King, National Co-Leader of the Canada's Best Managed Companies program and Partner, Deloitte Private. “Over the past year, these companies displayed a forging-forward mentality that enabled them to weather challenges and explore new avenues for advancement. They exemplify the resilience and innovative business practices that are necessary as the Canadian and global business environments continue to change rapidly.”

Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel composed of representatives from program sponsors in addition to special guest judges. 2022 Best Managed companies share commonalities that include (but are not limited to) enabling a remote workforce, making employee health a top priority, acting with an increased sense of purpose and social responsibility, and a significantly heightened focus on cash flow.
